PSP online gaming?; noob question

 I noticed that the new cfw 5.00 got Playstation Network. how can I use this to play online game?? Any help?

 It's not for online gaming. It's only for purchasing games from PlayStation Store.

 thanks for reply. I see a lot of discussion here on xlink kai. not sure what it is. Is there other more simpler way to go online besides this xlink kai ?

 For PSP, there are 2 ways to play online. Either through ad-hoc (between two PSP) and infrastructure (through internet).

Certain games like KILLZONE Liberation, NFS will have infrastructure online multiplayer built-in, so you don't need to use XLink Kai. And, it's game dependent. For games that does not include any infrastructure online multiplayer (only adhoc multiplayer), if you want to play online with other PSP, then you HAVE to use XLink Kai, there's no other way unless you have PS3 where you can use 'Adhoc Party' (pretty much link XLink Kai).
