The long awaited PSP camera, the Chotto Shot was unleashed on Japanese gamers early this month. The device is not yet available outside of Japan, but thanks to Sg.Wang importers, I got mine yesterday for RM165. Price is quite cheap, but hey, at that price and with a humble 1.3 megapixels this should come as no surprise. ![]() Translated as "a little shot," Chotto Shot takes photos at a resolution of 480×272 and 640×480 with quality that's acceptable for everyday shots. The camera can take shots from distances of 40cm and up, or you can switch to macro mode for taking pictures from 7cm away. A digital zoom feature lets you zoom in on the scene before snapping away. Shots are saved in the JPEG format. ![]() When taking movies, the camera is capable of 30fps video at 480x272 resolution, although you're limited to 15 seconds of footage at a time. Once you've taken a video, you can edit with 74 different effects. You can also add add background music, although the unit has a monaural microphone capable of recording linear PCM directly. Footage can be viewed directly on the PSP, or you can convert it to AVI and transfer it to a PC through Memory Stick. The native format for the movies is Motion JPEG. ![]() (Packaging box, camera unit and UMD software) ![]() (Special case to store your PSP camera) A few snapshots that I took yesterday: (640×480 resolution) ![]() (480 x 272 resolution) ![]() And for video: [dohtml] [/dohtml] Video quality degraded when uploaded to GoogleVideo or Youtube. If you want to see the original AVI file: Download here- My Chotto Shot Sample Clip |

Sony memang hampes... diorg dah include Chotto Shot Camera function kat firmware 3.00 under Photo menu.. boleh snapshot full resolution (1280 X 960) and video unlimited.. patutlah diaorg limitkan ability camera bila guna with Chotto Shot UMD software.. sebab nak suruh orang upgrade ke firmware 3.00..
:P
